General

I haven’t received a booking confirmation or entry voucher. What should I do?

If you have not received confirmation of your booking, please check your SPAM / junk mail. If nothing appears, please do not hesitate to contact us by e-mail at contact@chataigneraie.com or by telephone 04 75 31 43 33.

Is it possible to arrive outside reception opening hours?

Yes, this is quite possible. Please call us or send us an e-mail indicating your arrival time. Please note that the campsite gate is closed after 10pm, so you will not be able to bring your vehicle inside.

Are pets allowed in all areas of the campsite?

Our animal friends are welcome on our campsite. Please present their vaccination certificate at reception and keep them on a lead in the campsite. At the exit of the campsite there is a footpath where you can walk your pets freely and safely.

Can holiday vouchers be used to pay for bookings and activities?

We accept holiday vouchers. If you wish to pay for your stay with holiday vouchers, you can either send them to us by recorded delivery, or send us a cheque for the amount of the holiday vouchers with a post-it note “not to be cashed, to be exchanged for holiday vouchers on arrival”.

What are the refund conditions in the event of cancellation?

We offer cancellation insurance to cover you in the event of problems. At 4% of the total cost of the holiday, it covers you for all of life’s problems, but also if your employer cancels your holiday. Think about it.

Is it possible to change my booking?

For all modifications, it is preferable to contact us directly. We will do our best to satisfy you as far as possible.

Do I need a deposit?

A deposit of 400 euros will be required on arrival, either by cheque or by credit card in the form of an imprint. You will not be charged.

What documents do I need to provide when I arrive?

You will be asked to show proof of identity on arrival.

Accommodation

Are sheets and towels included in the accommodation?

Sheets and towels are not included in the accommodation. We offer optional kits including sheets, towels, a shower head and tea towels.

Is wifi free and available throughout the estate?

Wifi is available throughout the campsite. You will have 30 minutes of free connection followed by paying packages.

Can I choose my pitch?

You are free to choose your pitch and we will do our utmost to accommodate you as far as possible.

Can a tent be added next to a mobile home?

If the number of people exceeds the maximum number of people in the accommodation, please contact us.

Are all mobile homes air-conditioned?

Our chalets are not air-conditioned, but we are at the top of a hill and a gentle breeze cools us down on summer evenings. What’s more, our campsite is located in the forest and the trees keep us very cool – it’s a delight!

Does the mobile home have a parasol?

All our terraces are covered to provide shade and protection from the rain.

Can I park my car or van on a pitch?

Our pitches are accessible to caravans, vans and campsites. Please note that we do not accept double axles.

Are mobile homes equipped with dishwashers?

Our range of premium rental properties are equipped with dishwashers

Do you have accommodation adapted for people with reduced mobility?

We do not have accommodation for people with reduced mobility. However, our sanitary facilities have a special cubicle for people with reduced mobility.

Is there TV in the mobile homes?

All our premium rentals and comfort mobile homes are equipped with a television.

Water spaces

Is the pool area open in low season?

Our swimming pool is open and heated to 27 degrees from 1 May until the end of September.

Are swimming caps and briefs compulsory at the pool?

Bathing caps are not compulsory, but swimming costumes are compulsory, and swimming shorts are forbidden.

Are qualified lifeguards present around swimming pools?

Our pools are not supervised, so children remain under the supervision of their parents.

What are the opening times for the aquatic centre?

The pool area is open from 10am to 8pm every day. In July and August, night-time swimming is available.

Is the pool heated?

The swimming pool and paddling pool are heated to 27 degrees.

Is the swimming pool accessible to visitors to the campsite?

Visitors who have paid their admission to the campsite will have access to all the facilities (swimming pool, SPA, restaurant, play areas, etc.).

Are sunbathing free?

A number of sun loungers are available free of charge, but please do not leave your towels when you leave the pool area.

Are pets allowed in the pool area?

Naturally, pets are not allowed in the pool area. You can tie them up nearby to keep an eye on them and leave them in the shade.

Surroundings

Is the campsite close to the town centre?

The campsite is located in the forest 3 km from the town centre.

Where are the cycle paths?

There are numerous foot and cycle trails starting from the campsite. And the Viarhona is 3 km from the campsite, easily accessible.

Where is the nearest tourist office?

The nearest tourist office is in Hauterives, 19 km from the campsite.

Can you walk to a supermarket?

The campsite is located in the forest 3 km from the town centre.

Is the campsite served by public transport?

No public transport is available from the campsite.

Services

Can bicycles be hired on the campsite?

We do not hire bicycles on the campsite. There are bike hire companies about 10 km from the campsite.

Can I hire a cot or high chair?

As an option, we can hire a baby kit comprising 1 cot with a real mattress and mattress protector, a high chair, a bath and, on request, a potty.

Is there a nurse on the campsite, with first aid equipment and facilities?

The campsite has a defibrillator and first-aid equipment.

Is there a nursery for young children?

We do not have a nursery for young children.

Are barbecues available for hire?

Gas planchas are available on reservation for 6 euros per day. In Drome, the prefecture bans charcoal barbecues. And electric barbecues are banned due to a lack of electricity.

Does the campsite have a shuttle service to the station?

No shuttle service available to the station

Does the catering service operate without interruption?

Our restaurant is open every day. In high season from 8.30am to 11pm and in low season from 10am to 2pm and from 6pm to 10pm.

Is there a hotline if there are any problems with the accommodation?

We are available on the campsite 24 hours a day in the event of a problem.

Do I have to make an appointment to inspect the property when I leave?

We recommend that you make an appointment for the departure inventory of fixtures in order to choose the desired time slot.

Is there a mini-market on the campsite?

There is a small supermarket on the campsite, open every day.

Is there a bread depot?

Every morning we receive bread and pastries from local bakers. However, it is essential to place your order before 7pm the previous evening.

Cleanliness

Is there a cleaning service for mobile homes?

If you wish, we can do the cleaning for you for the sum of 65 euros. This option can be taken at the time of booking or during your stay.

Does the campsite have a laundry service?

The sanitary facilities include a washing machine and a drying machine. You will need to add tokens at reception.

Can I use my own washing powder in the laundry?

You can use your own washing powder at the launderette.
